August 12, 2011 Official closing of the Summer 2011 semester.
August 18, 2011 Publication of the Fall 2011 - Summer 2012 Base Catalog.
August 22, 2011 Changes to CIVE Degree Plan were made in order to be consistent with CIVE website. Changes (re-sequencing of courses in degree plan) were done for ABET accreditation.
August 25, 2011 Accreditation agency name & program objectives were changed in the “About the College” engineering section. Also, the “Accreditation” section of the Profiles page was updated with the name change.
September 1, 2011 Board of Regents listing was updated to reflect the addition of three newly-appointed board of regents: Spencer D. Armour, III, Roger F. Welder, and Welcome W. Wilson, Jr.
September 6, 2011 Pertaining to the Academic Calendar. There were two dates on the fall 2012 calendar (by semester) that indicated the “Last day to add a class”: August 29 and September 4. August 29, 2011 is the incorrect date and was deleted from the calendar.
September 6, 2011 Corrections made to CNST courses: CNST 2351 , 3311, CNST 3365 , and CNST 4385 .    
CNST 2351  prerequisite change from “consent of department” to “consent of instructor”. CNST 3311 lecture-lab hours were changed from (2-2) to (3-0). CNST 2325 , CNST 2345 , 3315, CNST 3365 , & CNST 4385  course descriptions changed from “industrial and process” to “process and industrial”. Corrections have been previously approved by the Undergraduate Council.
October 18, 2011 Pertaining to the Academic Calendar: The Winter Mini Session was added to the fall 2011 - summer 2012 academic calendar (by semester and by event).
November 14, 2011 German degree program has been officially closed effective fall 2011 per Coordinating Board mandate. The College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences will no longer accept students into the German program after fall 2011. Any reference to the German major has been removed from the Modern and Classical Studies department page. A disclaimer note regarding this new change was also included in the German Major catalog page as well.
December 8, 2011 Pertaining to UScholars section under “Policies: Advising, Orientation, Enrollment”, requirement regarding filing a degree plan after reaching a number of certain semester credit hours was added due to change mandated by the Texas State Legislature.
December 16, 2011 Official closing of the Fall 2011 semester.
January 4, 2012 Pertaining to the Academic Calendar: The Summer Session 2 academic calendar (by Event) contained the incorrect “Last day to drop a course or withdraw with a “W”. The error of June 10, 2012, Tuesday was changed to July 10, 2012, Tuesday.
January 5, 2012 Pertaining to the CLASS Academics section under “Readmission from Suspension”. Catalog language was rephrased to reflect and be
consistent with the Fall 2011 University readmission policy regarding suspended students.
January 10, 2012 Pertaining to the Academic Calendar: The word “withdraw” had been inadvertently omitted from the April 3, 2012 drop date statement in the spring 2012 academic calendar (by Semester).
January 17, 2012 First Day of Classes for the Spring 2012 semester.
January 19, 2012 Pertaining to the Academic Calendar: summer session titles were temporarily changed, then restored.
January 30, 2012 Pertaining to the Academic Calendar: summer session titles were changed (removed reference to week count) and dates moved to corresponding new titles to reflect PeopleSoft Class Schedule coding.
February 13, 2012 Pertaining to the Academic Calendar 2012 Summer Session 1 TTH classes (by semester & by event): extra Fridays were changed from June 8, 15, 22, 29 to July 6, 13, 20, 27 in order to accommodate Friday classroom scheduling for both MW & TTH classes. Also, the last day of class for TTH summer session 1 classes was changed from August 1 to July 31.
February 13, 2012 Pertaining to the Academic Calendar: Summer and Fall 2012 graduation filing dates were added to the spring, summer, and fall 2012 calendars (by event and by semester).
February 13, 2012 Pertaining to the Classical Studies major: A note was added to the Classical Studies major indicating that this major will no longer be accepting new students effective fall 2011.
March 1, 2012 Pertaining to the Academic Calendar: The Last Day of Class for the 2012 Summer Session 1 was corrected to August 1, 2012, Wednesday.
March 8, 2012 Pertaining to the Academic Calendar (by event and by semester): 2013 Spring Break holiday was changed to March 11-16, 2012.
April 2, 2012 Minor re-wording of catalog language in the Polices - Academic Standing section was made to clarify “long” semesters during the UH academic year.
April 10, 2012 Publication of the Spring Course Updates to the Fall 2011 - Summer 2012 Undergraduate Catalog.
April 26, 2012 Addition of the Fall 2011 - Summer 2012 Base Catalog to the Catalog Archives. Effective file capture date December 19, 2011.
June 14, 2012 HIST 1376  and HIST 1379  were added to the American History core curriculum listing (were inadvertently left off).
June 25, 2012 Summer session names were changed in the Course Load section of the catalog to reflect the recent change in summer sessions in the Academic Calendar and PeopleSoft calendar coding.
August 6, 2012 Semester credit hours for CHNS 2301  and CHNS 2302  were changed from 5 semester credit hours (typo) to 3 semester credit hours.
August 9, 2012 Official closing of the Summer 2012 semester.
