How-To Subscribe to Academic Calendars

If you would like to add the events listed in an Academic Calendar, you may choose to subscribe to the calender using the iCal (.ics) link provided and inserting into your personal email account (works well with Outlook, Google, and iCal (Apple) apps).
In a few steps you will be syncing with the UH Catalog Google calendar. Because you will be subscribing to the calendar, as changes are needed your personal calendar will also receive the updates.
**Please note:**
You will need to access the links from a desktop computer. Once subscribed to the calendar through your personal email/calendar account, you may then use your preferred method of syncing with your mobile device. If you do not subscribe to the calendar, but, instead, load the .ics file into your personal calendar (instructions not provided here), you will need to manually update your personal calendar with any updates to the UH Academic Calendar.
If you have any issues with adding the .ics sync link to your personal email/calendar account, please consult with the technical support for your personal email/calendar account provider - (not UH).
Instructions for subscribing:
Just beneath the column headers for each session (1, 2, 3…) within an academic term (Fall, Spring, Summer) you will see a “Subscribe to iCal” link. For each session calendar that you would like to subscribe to, do the following:
- Right-click on the “iCal” link.
- Choose to copy the link (Copy Link Location or Copy Shortcut option, depending on browser)
- Use the link to subscribe to the UH Academic Calendar session by the method required by your personal account provider. Below are links to common applications that work well with iCal subscriptions. This is not an exhaustive list of all apps that can subscribe to iCal calendars.
