International Baccalaureate

The University of Houston recognizes the comprehensive and rigorous curriculum of the International Baccalaureate (IB) and offers possible credit for scores of 4, 5, 6 or 7 on higher-level or 4, 5, 6, or 7 on standard-level with Diploma examinations. An entering freshman who holds an IB diploma will be granted at least 24 college credit hours if he or she has scored 4 or better on the IB exams. IB diploma or certificate sent to the University of Houston will be reviewed for credit. See Credit by Examination charts  for more information.
