COSC 6310 - Fundamentals of Operating Systems

Cr. 3. (3-0)
Prerequisite: consent of the Director of Graduate Studies. Credit may not be applied toward a graduate degree in Computer Science. Purpose of an operating systems; sequential processes, concurrent processes, deadlock, mutual exclusion, semaphores; memory management, processor management, peripheral device management. Students must make an oral presentation on aspects of the course content.
