COSC 6364 - Numerical AnalysisCr. 3. (3-0)
Prerequisite: COSC 3362 or COSC 6303 or consent of instructor. Numerical solution of partial differential equations by finite difference and finite element algorithms. Direct and iterative methods for solving large, sparse linear systems and related eigenvalue/vector problems. Emphasis is placed on robust mathematical software and its interaction with computer hardware and languages.
