COMM 2310 - Writing for Print and Digital Media Credit Hours: 3.0 Lecture Contact Hours: 2 Lab Contact Hours: 3 Prerequisite: ENGL 1304, HIST 1376 or 1377, HIST 1378 or 1379, POLS 1336 and 1337. Ability to type 30 words per minute.
Teaches cognitive and mechanical skills required to produce news, public relations, and advertising messages that are ethical, clear, concise, complete, compelling, and accurate. Students learn to gather information from online and traditional sources.
Note: Laboratory required. TCCNS Equivalent: COMM 2311 or COMM 2328 or consent of instructor.
Issues at the intersection of news and social media, including how social media is used to search and share news.
