Study of literary works written across the twentieth century in England, the United States, Canada, the Caribbean, Africa, India, and Australia. Over the course of the past century, English has become a global language, spoken as a first (or second or third) language in more than one hundred countries. As a result, English-language literature has become increasingly global in its topics, styles, and settings.
