May not be taken for credit by students who have had two or more years of high school German. Credit for GERM 1803 may not be applied toward a degree by students who have credit for GERM 1302, , GERM 1501 , or GERM 1502 . Thorough foundation in German language concentrating on basic skills of reading, writing, understanding, and speaking German, emphasizing oral proficiency and communicative, interactive language learning. Introduction to culture of German-speaking countries. Homework includes video and computer assignments that must be completed in the language acquisition center.
