NURS 6412 - Integration of Advanced Nursing Clinical III

This practicum course focuses on the unique, interdependent and autonomous roles of the advanced practice Adult Health Clinical Nurse Specialist. Human responses to health and illness and etiologies that affect health are explored. Evidence-based theories of health promotion, disease prevention, risk reduction and management of symptoms/functional issues are explored to enable development of care frameworks for the adult patient. The student will practice beginning CNS clinical decision making that incorporates nursing and medical diagnosis, disease management and treatment including prescriptive practice.
