Nutrition in the Body; Macronutrients, Micronutrients; Current Nutrition Standards and Guidelines; Special nutritional needs (children, athletics, weight management, pathologies). Energy Balance and Body Weight; Nutrition and Disease, with a focus on Obesity, Diabetes, Heart Disease; Features of various disease-prevention diets, including: Low fat, low calorie diets; Vegetarian and diets; Anti-inflammatory diets; DASH diet; Mediterranean diet; Low Carb diets; Glycemic Index and Glycemic Load concepts; Assessment of nutrient status; Analyze and evaluate a diet record for nutritional content and energy balance; Community Nutrition, school lunches; WHOs Nutrition-Friendly Schools Initiative; Marketing Nutrition and Health Promotion, Food Labeling; Use & Impact of technology on eating behaviors, food choices, nutritional quality; Dietary Supplements & nutraceuticals; Invited guest lectures.
