Description
Blends ethnography as a research methodology and the history of Vietnamese American communities across the country to examine the formation of these distinct ethnic enclaves as well as their evolution, convergences, and divergences in contemporary America. Various critical ethnographies that embrace Vietnamese America as productive lines of inquiry in politics, immigration, economy, globalization, and transnationalism. Ethnographic frameworks combined with community-based research as a constructive approach for engaging and supporting the development of the local Vietnamese community.
