Using film as a platform of social and artistic expression, exploring sociopolitical and cultural issues relevant to the Asian American experience. Drawing on important race/ethnic theories and prominent movies on Asian America. Asian immigrants and Asian Americans negotiate stereotypes and discrimination to assert a distinctive identity in the United States
