ARLD 3300 - Introduction to Arts AdministrationCredit Hours: 3.0 Lecture Contact Hours: 3 Lab Contact Hours: 0 Prerequisite: Junior standing, Major or minor in COTA, or permission of instructor. Description This overview course will introduce students to the practical skills required for the successful management of arts organizations. Areas covered will include fundraising, budgeting, marketing/publicity, audience development, community engagement, board governance, and issues associated with the founding of a nonprofit organization.
Students will engage in discussions with a number of professionals in the field of arts administration and will analyze working methodologies used by arts administrators. Additional Fee N
