Housed in Women’s, Gender & Sexuality Studies Program, the minor in GLBT Studies is available to all UH students. Academic advising is coordinated through the Women’s, Gender & Sexuality Studies Program.

The minor consists of the following 18-hour requirement:

  • 3 hours of Introduction to GLBT Studies;
  • 9 hours in approved GLBT studies advanced courses;
  • 3 hours from the list of approved Women’s Studies advanced courses; and
  • 3 hours in approved capstone course (supervised research, field-based service, internship, or an additional 3 hours in elective GLBT studies course).

At least 12 of the 18 hours must be taken in residence of which 9 must be advanced. A minimum 2.00 grade point average is required for all courses attempted in the minor.
