Curriculum and Instruction, MEd - Specialization in STEM Education

The M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction (CUIN) with a specialization in STEM Education is a 30 credit-hour program with a Capstone Project. The curriculum and delivery of the coursework builds from lessons learned from the integration of Science, Mathematics, and Reflective Teaching (iSMART) M.Ed. program where 91 of 97 middle grades science and mathematics Texas teachers (four cohorts of 22-27, 94% retention) successfully completed the program. iSMART’s purpose was to develop and implement a research-based graduate program focusing on science and mathematics integration, technology, and teacher leadership.
