The Masters of Engineering Management is a 30-credit hour graduate program of face-to-face and online classes. The Master of Engineering Management degree requires a minimum of 30 graduate credit hours, which is in line with other current Engineering Management programs within Texas and nationally. A cumulative grade point average of “B” or better is required to graduate.

Admission Requirements


  • Undergraduate degree in engineering or a degree in math, computer science or a physical science
  • The Cullen College of Engineering requires a minimum of 3.0/4.0 GPA over the last 60 semester hours or 90-quarter hours for the admission to the graduate programs.
  • 3-5 years of engineering work experience in a responsible position with two letters of recommendations from immediate supervisor and someone familiar with the candidate’s academic performance
  • Students who transfer from another graduate program must have at least a 3.0/4.0 GPA on all graduate work completed.
  • TOFEL, GRE or GMAT will be required for all International Students

Students without a BS in the above described discipline must take 2 leveling courses in mathematical modeling and probabilities and statistics.

  • All technical courses must be approved by the Master of Engineering Management Program Director.
