Technology Project Management, M.S.

The degree plans for a Master of Science degree in Technology Project Management is designed specifically to prepare individuals with undergraduate degrees for responsible leadership roles in the technology- and information-based workplaces.  The core courses provide in-depth preparation in project management skills.  Being able to plan and manage technology projects is an increasingly important skill.  The Technology Project Management degree plan equips technology professionals with an in-depth study of project management.  In this degree plan, students work with a faculty advisor to create a 12 credit directed area of study.  This program consists of a curriculum that has been formally approved by the Project Management Institute.

Special Admission Requirements


In addition to the College of Technology admission requirements , applicants for the Master of Science in Information Systems Security, Supply Chain and Logistics Technology, and Technology Project Management degrees must submit transcripts of all college-level course credit.  Students must also submit scores from the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) or the Graduate Management Admissions Test (GMAT).  Also, students may be required to complete prerequisite courses.

Degree Requirements


The degree program requires all students to complete core courses in project management, a directed area of study, and electives.  Students may concentrate their studies in information systems security or supply chain and logistics technology.  Program guides specifying other requirements are updated regularly and are available from the department office.
