Financial aid applications   Information is available from the Costs and Financial Aid area of the UH website.
Graduation Application Deadlines  

Regular filing period: Friday, April 6, 2012 through Friday, September 28, 2012 (non-refundable $25.00 fee). Late filing period: Saturday, September 29, 2012 through Friday, October 26, 2012 (non-refundable $50.00 fee).

Payment and Refund Deadlines   Timing is critical to University payment and refund processes. Please review the information on line at: Student Financial Services.
NOTE:
Dates for the events listed to the right vary by College. Please check with your College as early as possible.		  
  1. Master’s / Doctoral Deadlines
  • submitting final draft of master’s thesis or dissertation to the committee
  • submitting signed original and two copies of approved master’s thesis or dissertation for binding
  • ordering caps and gowns

Beginning of regular filing period to apply online for Fall 2011 graduation - non-refundable $25 fee. Regular Filing period funs from Friday, April 15, 2011 through Friday, September 30, 2011. Go to myUH (Peoplesoft) to apply.
August 2011 22 Monday
First day of classes.
  29 Monday
Last day to add a class.
September 2011 5 Monday
Labor Day holiday.
   7 Wednesday
ORD - Official Reporting Day
(12th class day).

Last day to drop a course  or withdraw  without receiving a grade.

Last day to drop a course without hours counting towards the Enrollment Cap for Texas Residents.
NOTE: Tuition is higher for hours in excess of the cap.
   30 Friday
End of regular filing period to apply online for Fall 2012 graduation with non-refundable $25 fee. Go to myUH (Peoplesoft) to apply.
October 2011  1 Saturday
Beginning of late filing period to apply online for Fall 2011 graduation - non-refundable $50 fee. Late Filing period runs from Saturday, October 1, 2011 through Friday, October 28, 2011. Go to myUH (Peoplesoft) to apply.
  28 Friday
End of late filing period to apply online for Fall 2011 graduation with $50 non-refundable fee.
November 2012  2 Friday
Last day to drop a course or withdraw with a ‘W’.
  4 Beginning of regular filing period to apply online for Spring 2012 graduation - non-refundable $25 fee. Regular Filing period runs from Fri. Nov. 2 through Fri. Febrary 22, 2013. Go to myUH (Peoplesoft) to apply.
   23-26  Wednesday - Saturday

Thanksgiving holiday.
December 2011 3 Saturday
Last day of classes.
  5-6 Monday - Tuesday
Make up days for class days officially cancelled by the university (if necessary) or Reading Period.
  7-15 Wednesday - Thursday
Final Examination Period
