    Prerequisite: Admission to Master of Athletic Training program.
    Corequisite: ATP 7101 - Head, Neck and Spine Evaluation Lab .
    A systematic examination of the fundamental principles and concepts of athletic training as it related to the prevention, evaluation, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of the head, neck, and spine.
  
  • ATP 7302 - General Medical Conditions

    Formerly/Same as: PEP 6362 - General Medical Conditions in Sport.
    Prerequisite: Admission to the Masters of Athletic Training program.
    Role of the Athletic Trainer in the identification, prevention, evaluation, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of medical conditions of all major body systems as directed by a supervising physician.
  
  • ATP 7311 - Nutrition and Performance

    Credit Hours: 3.0 (Lecture Contact Hours:(3-0); )
    Formerly/Same as: PEP 7361 - Nutritional Aspects of Injury and Illness.
    Prerequisite: Admission to the Masters of Athletic Training program.
    Study of the association between nutrition and exercise performance, nutrition assessment of athletes, how to measure body composition, and the use of (and controversy over) ergogenic aids are explored.
  
  • ATP 7312 - Principles of Strength and Conditioning

    Credit Hours: 3.0 (Lecture Contact Hours:(3-0); )
    Prerequisite: Admission to Master of Athletic Training program.
    Instruction in basic physiological adaptations to strength and speed development, exercise prescription and testing, and facility design and safety.
  
  • ATP 7313 - Rehabilitation of Sports Injuries

    Credit Hours: 3.0 (Lecture Contact Hours:(3-0); )
    Prerequisite: Admission to Master of Athletic Training program.
    Corequisite: ATP 7113 - Rehabilitation of Sports Injuries Lab .
    Principles of rehabilitation of sports injuries, including range of motion, pain control, balance, proprioception, strengthening, and endurance.  Therapeutic goals and objectives, exercise gradation and evaluating rehabilitation process will be stressed.
  
  • ATP 7321 - Psychological Aspects of Sport Injury

    Credit Hours: 3.0 (Lecture Contact Hours:(3-0); )
    Formerly/Same as: PEP 7363 - Psychological Aspects of Sport Injuries.
    Prerequisite: Admission to the Masters of Athletic Training program.
    Knowledge and skills that the Athletic Trainer must possess to recognize the socio-cultural, mental, emotional, and physical behaviors in athletes that require intervention or referral to a recognized professional.
  
  • ATP 7322 - Seminar in Athletic Training

    Credit Hours: 3.0 (Lecture Contact Hours:(3-0); )
    Formerly/Same as: PEP 7364 - Professional Development and Responsibility.
    Prerequisite: Admission to the Masters of Athletic Training program.
    A Capstone course designed for research discussion of critical questions and contemporary issues and problems in athletic training/sports medicine.  Athletic Training students will prepare for the Board of Certification Exam.
  
  • ATP 7397 - Advanced Selected Topics in Athletic Training
