Prerequisite: Graduate standing in Physics or consent of Chair Corequisite:
Concurrent enrollment in PHYS 6150 . Scientific programming, numerical methods in linear algebra, eigenvalue problems, ODEs, and PDEs: data structures, data analysis, and curve fitting; variational calculations; density functional theory; band structure calculations; molecular dynamics and Monte Carlo simulations; quantum simulations; parallel computing.
