PHAR 5210 - Research and Drug DesignCr. 2. (2-0) Prerequisite: Third year standing in the College of Pharmacy or consent of instructor. This course will offer the student the ability to describe the decision making process in drug discovery, the stages of drug development and the utility of clinical pharmacology. The course will describe the structure of a research protocol including statistical, response and toxicity criteria. Additionally, the course will explain ICH guidelines and the essential regulatory and ethical issues of clinical research.
