Prerequisite: Graduate standing and consent of instructor. Natural and anthropogenic global climate change, paleoclimates and paleogeography, evolution of the atmosphere, greenhouse effect, ozone depletion, ocean-atmosphere coupling, solar activity, Milankovitch cycles, effects of global change on agriculture, water resources and energy use.
