Chemical properties of atoms and elements. Categories of compounds of Main Group and d-block elements including hydrides, oxides, hydroxides, halides, and others. Syntheses, reactions, and aspects of systematic chemistry. Introduction to the biochemistry of inorganic compounds. May not apply toward degree until CHEM 2133 is successfully completed.
