COSC 6310 - Fundamentals of Operating Systems Credit Hours: 3.0 Lecture Contact Hours: 3 Lab Contact Hours: 0 Prerequisite: consent of the Director of Graduate Studies.
Credit may not be applied toward a graduate degree in Computer Science. Purpose of an operating systems; sequential processes, concurrent processes, deadlock, mutual exclusion, semaphores; memory management, processor management, peripheral device management. Students must make an oral presentation on aspects of the course content. Note: Credit may not be applied toward a graduate degree.
