Description Information visualization offers instruments for reasoning about quantitative information, analyzing and communicating statistical information. The course overviews the main typologies of data graphics (data-maps, time-series, space-time narrative, relational diagrams, graphs and methods for dimensionality reduction) and provides a language for discussing data visualizations combined with a knowledge of the human perception of visual objects.
