The Department of Health Systems and Population Health Sciences exists to equip tomorrow’s doctors with the knowledge, vision and tools to be agents of change, who make communities healthier and our health system more effective, efficient and equitable.

The department focuses on research and instruction in health-system and health-delivery innovation, data intelligence and community engagement for individual and population health. With the ability to test novel solutions and harness grassroots wisdom, graduates will be prepared to bridge medicine and public health. They will be able to support the conditions needed for sustainable community and individual health, as leaders in community health.
