Engineering - Technology Division > Department of Engineering Technology > Accelerated B.S./M.S. Degree Program in Biotechnology
Students eligible for the Accelerated Program will be allowed to complete up to 6 graduate hours (a total of 2 courses) that may then be applied to both their Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees. Students who meet the following qualifications may take advantage of this opportunity to complete Master’s level coursework while still undergraduate students:
1. Junior standing and completion of 30 semester hours of CCE Technology Division coursework
2. Minimum 3.0 GPA over all course work
3. Minimum 3.25 GPA over all CCE Technology Division course work
4. Approval from the undergraduate Program Coordinator.
5. Approval from the graduate Program Coordinator.
Students enrolled in the accelerated program must complete the graduate application process before formal admission to graduate school. The admission committee reviews the entire application when making an admission decision. The graduate courses that undergraduate students may take to satisfy the student’s undergraduate degree requirements will be determined through discussion with undergraduate and graduate coordinators for the program in which they are majoring and in which they intend to take graduate coursework. This determination will be made in accordance with the student’s interest, the recommended graduate courses for the accelerated program, and the student’s preparation for the course material.
