Interdisciplinary Arts Minor

The minor in interdisciplinary arts requires a minimum of 15 semester hours, 9 of which must be advanced. Nine of the 15 hours must be taken in residence, of which at least 6 must be at the 3000- or 4000-level. A minimum 2.00 grade point average on all courses applied to the minor is required. Students seeking the minor in interdisciplinary arts are required to complete:
- Visual and Performing Arts Core course Cr. 3.
- IART 3300 - Introduction to Interdisciplinary Art Cr. 3.
- IART 4300 - Collaboration Among the Arts Cr. 3.
- 6 hours from the following:
- IART 3395 - Selected Topics in Interdisciplinary Arts or
- approved courses in Art (ART 3380 or ART 3381 ), Art History (ARTH 3376 , ARTH 4310 , or ARTH 4375 ), Music (nonmusic majors: MUSI 1300 , MUSI 3300 , or MUSI 3301 ; music majors: MUSI 4366 , MUSI 4380 , or MUSI 4397 ; both music and nonmusic majors: MUSI 3303 or 3310), Theater and Dance (THEA 1331 , THEA 1338 , or THEA 3384 ), and creative writing in the English Department (ENGL 3329 , ENGL 3330 , or ENGL 3331 ).
