Mathematics Major

Students who choose to major in mathematics must complete the following requirements in addition to the special requirements for the Bachelor of Arts degree:

Requirements

At least 30 advanced semester hours in mathematics which must include:

MATH 3330 - Abstract Algebra Credit Hours: 3.0
MATH 3331 - Differential Equations Credit Hours: 3.0
MATH 3333 - Intermediate Analysis Credit Hours: 3.0
MATH 3334 - Advanced Multivariable Calculus Credit Hours: 3.0 or
MATH 3335 - Vector Analysis Credit Hours: 3.0 or
MATH 3364 - Introduction to Complex Analysis Credit Hours: 3.0
MATH 4389 - Survey of Undergraduate Mathematics Credit Hours: 3.0
A minimum of 12 semester hours of 4000-level mathematics

One of the following sequences:

MATH 4331 - Introduction to Real Analysis Credit Hours: 3.0
MATH 4332 - Introduction to Real Analysis Credit Hours: 3.0
MATH 4335 - Partial Differential Equations Credit Hours: 3.0
