Description Examination of Soviet and Chinese economic history from their communist takeovers to the present. Focuses on the era of Soviet planning in both countries. Explores the factors that led to the collapse of the Soviet Union and of the Chinese reform of the late 1970s that made possible China’s rapid growth over the past three decades.
