BIOE 6320 - Tissue Engineering Credit Hours: 3 Lecture Contact Hours: 3 Lab Contact Hours: 0 Prerequisite: Graduate standing or consent of instructor. Principles of neural interfaces and neural prosthetic devices including neural recording, stimulation, and regeneration.
This course will introduce students to advanced cellular, tissue, and regenerative engineering methods. Additionally, students will be exposed to principles that apply mechanical, physical, and chemical manipulation of the micro-environment to direct cell and tissue organization and function. Emphasis will be placed on developing the written and oral communication skills required of the professional scientist. Repeatability: YES
