Description
This course examines the evolution of drug trafficking in Latin America and the Caribbean from the early twentieth century to present day. The class will analyze all the stages of the drug industry, from production to consumption, the formation of illicit markets and criminal organizations, money laundering practices, the violent competition among crime syndicates, and both national and transnational counternarcotic policies.
